How to Apply Dip Powder Polish
Ready to ditch your plain old polish for ultra glossy, better-than-gel nails?
Here's a step by step guide for applying your polish:
Starting Pro Tips:
Powders may settle or become dense sitting overtime & can create uneven dipping results. For seamless dipping, loosen powders by shaking jars while closed or stir with a clean utensil prior to use.
Step 1: Prep nails
Cut, shape, and buff your nails to your liking. Wash your hands.
Step 2: Apply a thin coat of the base layer to the entire nail surface
Avoid getting the product onto your cuticles. Powder will stick wherever the base layer is applied.
Step 3: Quickly dip the nail at a 45 degree angle into the powder, coating the entire nail bed
Step 4: Remove any loose color dipping powder
Hold your finger straight down and gently tap. It may be helpful to use a clean brush to very lightly remove excess powder.
Step 5: Repeat steps 2-4 to add one more layer
Step 6: Apply Activator liquid
** [Important] Step 7: Use a buffer or file to even out the preferred thickness and sand down/smooth the nail surface. **
Buffing down the nail before applying the top coat will give you a shiny finish. If you don't buff or file, you'll get a matte finish.
Step 8: Apply the top coat
Apply one layer of top coat and allow 3 minutes to dry. Apply a second coat and allow another 3 minutes to dry.
Step 9: Go show off your gorgeous new nails!
